This moon jar features a combination of sculpture clay and wild, foraged clay finished with a porcelain slip. The moon jar has areas of slight shine and areas of matte finish, this creates a dramatic high contrast look.

In her work, Ilona Golovina emphasizes irregularity, her shapes are asymmetrical and her textures are rough. Inspired by ancient ceramics, she intentionally leaves imperfections to imbue her work with a timeless feel.
